First of all, thank you for all of the amazingly kind comments from this post.
It was a wonderful to get to share that with you.
Now tidy up your gardens,
because Im hoping you'll want to have one of the products when they're ready.
Stay tuned!
Whew...a busy weekend and last few days.
Last week, I was honored to attend the Dream Maker Luncheon for InReach here in Charlotte.
I did the art for their new logo CREATIVITY and Tracey did all the graphic design work for it.
We were so pleased with how it turned out and they loved it too.
Pictured here with sweet Kathi Knier, their executive director.
We both attended the special luncheon and it was wonderful to see they they used the logo
on tote bags for everyone to take home,
on the brochure,
(not sure if you can read the words but each stem I painted reads something special that they do...
C- creativity, R-recreation, E- entrepreneurial spirit, etc...)
they enlarged the letters for the stage
and they even made it into a cake!
InReach is a wonderful organization here which help adults with physical and mental disabilities.
We were so impressed by hearing stories from those who benefit from their programs and funds.
Wow!

Thrilled to be included in a fun girl's night out recently.
My friend Stella won this event for four to Jeffre Scott in Charlotte.
We had a blast!
Of course Stella brought yummy nibbles for us to enjoy while we were pampered.
I really fell in love with these perfumes....
of course I loved the hand-placed sticker designs on them as much as the scents.
This brand is called LOVE TOAST.
I got the tiny one for my purse.
love.
We each had facials, our eyebrows done, and makeup applied.
splurged on a few treats...
and this was fun and clever...
yep, lip gloss with a mirror on the side and with one click, a light, for evening application!
Some smart woman invented this.
Then we jumped in the car with our fresh, fancy faces and headed HERE to dinner.
Fun evening! Thank you, thank you Stella! xoxo

I snatched my precious friend Kate and took her to the big Metrolina Flea Market this weekend.
She had NEVER been! I know, can you believe it?
We had soooo much fun and it was great to see her laugh and play.
Mr. Metrolina was there and greeted her for her first visit.
Kate found this fabulous chair for $75 (yay!)
and is having it recovered for her guest room.
Isn't is wonderful?
I scored two awesome vintage coats...
and I love, love, love them.
I seriously have a coat problem. My favorites are ones I paid $20 or less for.
and these concrete birdies were $3 each and 2 bamboo/rattan trays for $12
Did not buy these but I was swooning over the aqua pouf....
big love for these and holding out hope that I may get to design one or two!
And we went back to my favorite retro spot where I usually find a goodie...
Kate got these two precious purses...
the needlepoint with tortoise shell handle
and the other- a rectangle basket weave with gold bow and handles...so her, so darling.
I almost fell for the tapestry bag far left but it was too boxy. Fab colors and texture though!
oh and we were in hysterics over these boots...
Aleene, does this remind you of this time last year from HERE?
On a completely different note, Kate purchased the most precious nativity...
hand made in Kenya
and made out of banana fibers.
So unique and beautiful!!!
We found the most beautiful linens and I did find a few vintage tablecloths for next to nothing.
The designs on these deserve their own post.
unique buttons...
fabulous home decor
so much fun!
And squeezed into this whirlwind of a weekend was supper club, soccer games, a scout camping trip, playroom and house cleaning, yard work, a patio fire, lots of church activities,
and confirmation meeting and dinner.
Hope yours was great and blessings on your week!
xoxo
