HOPE
Our pastor said talked today about how difficult forgiveness in general
but especially today when we remember 9-11
It may seem impossible for many, to actually forgive the people and the acts of that horrific day.
We'll never be the same people or the same country as we were on September 10, 2001
so how do we respond as we remember.
We respond with hope.
We have to....we must.
Hope in God that we are not alone and that good can and will come from bad.
We must trust John 1:5
The light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not overcome it.
It didn't.
We continue to hear stories of bravery, of heroism,
and folks risking their lives to save people they had never met.
Of firefighters and police officers responding in love,
who took their duties so seriously they lost their lives and so many loved ones behind.
We respond in hope because we have reason to hope.
We must have hope...
hope today not just for those lost and affected by 9-11
but for those all over the world who need food, water, shelter and care.
For people who struggle daily for their basic needs to be met, for a meal and a place to lay their heads.
For those who are suffering from illness and disease.
For sweet Sloan who has relapsed and who needs our prayers this week now more than ever.
And we just do not understand.
But we must have hope.
We are called to have hope.
Romans 5:5
And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love
into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

On a totally different note, thanks to all of you who left kind comments for the give away...
and thank you for being excited with me about the new partnership with Creative Co-Op.
You are going to love what we're working on!
Our weekend winners are:
Such wonderful news! Congratulations.
Why would I love to win this skin-it? Because like every good Oregonian, I'm crazy about anything with a bird on it. And yours is such a lovely bird design.
Thanks for the generosity.
Dear Caroline, You're such a blessing to visit each day..I look forward to reading your blog and finding out how your day is going..you are a constant source of encouragement and witness to God's goodness. Your news today is so exciting and wonderful, for your life is an illustration for me that God is faithful to keep his promises, in all our lives. I saw a movie today called "Tugger, the Jeep that could" and it was about staying true to your dreams and that really encouraged me too. I learned that faith is like a chequebook and we can cash those promises at God's bank. I love that you keep your dream alive and are reaping what you have sown by faith. Praise the Lord for his goodness towards us all, especially for and through you.
Congratulations and please send me your addresses ladies!
Blessings,
Caroline

Well said, it is so vital to hope, especially when there doesn't appear to be much to hope for. I am so thrilled to have something to look forward to...a lovely phone cover with your delightful handiwork on it, thank-you so much.
