the delivery

William finally was able to deliver all the money he raised to Samaritan's Feet today.
It was a special moment watching that sweet boy hand over the zip lock bag filled
with a total of $2190!
Here is William giving Manny Ohonme the goods...
and then here is Manny giving William a special gift called "Sole Purpose Partner"
Manny made William feel so important and special today.
I think he'll treasure this for many years.

If you are new to this blog....here is a little history.
William Simas turned 11 this August, but when he was approaching his 8th birthday he asked his parents if he could have a lemonade stand and give all the money he raised to those in need. That idea became a reality and since then William has organized and hosted 4 lemonade stands raising a grand total of more than $6000 for local chairities. This year, William chose to donate all proceeds to Samaritan's Feet. Instead of a birthday party, William had almost 40 friends meet at the Samaritan's Feet Warehouse in mid August to meet Manny Ohonme and help sort and label shoes in the warhouse. Manny is the founder of Samaritan's Feet. He grew up in Nigeria and was given his first pair of shoes at age 9 by a visiting missionary. That gift changed his life and now Manny and his wife Tracie live in Charlotte with their four children. They are passionate about the Samaritan's Feet mission to help provide shoes to children all over the world. Their goal...10 million shoes in 10 years! Did you know that 300 million people go without shoes every day and more than a million die of foot born diseases as a result? William wanted to help and so can you!
Check out Samaritan's Feet at www.samaritansfeet.org for more information.
This year William's Lemonade and Cookie Stand raised $2190! Many thanks to all the neighbors and friends who came to help, donated new shoes, baked goods, and money. The Simas family and Samaritan's Feet are most grateful!

If this inspires one other kid to try and make a difference then....praises!
Blessings on your day,
Caroline
