sketchy

Things have been a bit "sketchy" over here lately!

We found my all time favorite sketch books on sale at BINDERS

so I bought one for each of the girls.

 Love these....they are ART ALTERNATIVES
and in my opinion, they are the best sketch books on the market.
Date them and keep them to see how your child's creativity develops over the years.
I usually have one with me where ever I go...on trips, the park,
always one in the car and one in the studio...
because you never know when inspiration will strike.

 This makes me smile because they have been watching me sketch a plan
for a series of four flowers for a client
and so when I peeked into their sketchbook later today,
I just had to smile when I discovered a few similarities.

The goal is one sketch a day and try to fill the book.
No rules...just anything they want to sketch.

It can be something they see outside the car window,

something in the yard,

something they see mommy designing,

a pattern on their favorite outfit.

Just be inspired and create!
