awesome day!

What an awesome day!
William wanted to celebrate his 11th birthday by gathering friends
and anyone willing to help sort shoes in the warehouse at Samaritan's Feet
You may remember that from here.
We had 37 sweet folks show up to volunteer.
They could have been at the pool on this hot summer day
but they chose to come and volunteer their time.
Bless you sweet friends!
Manny went around and shook each persons hand, looked them in the eye,
and thanked them for coming to serve.
We watched a short video about his story and heard some more of that directly from him.
He is a gentle giant with a huge heart for the Lord.
awesome mural that speaks for itself in the warehouse
William had close friends come and help.
We had sisters come and help...
we had teens come and help...
we had an expecting (any moment now) mom and her sweet kids come and help!
my girls loved it too
and tonight Charlotte asked if she could have her birthday party there next year....
about made my heart melt.
You can see the entire set here if you'd like.

AND THE AWESOME DAY CONTINUED...

We came home after that and rushed to see Walker finish a two day golf tournament.
We were able to see him finish on the 18th hole where he birdied
after sinking a very long putt winning 1st place by several strokes.
Thanks for letting me gush here a bit.
I was a proud mama today and it just made my heart happy for both boys.
other excited folks watching nearby...
great memories here
good stuff.
awesome day.
xoxo,
Caroline
