vintage and hot pink!

I have always had a love for vintage treasures
and recently came across this little beauty which I won on e-bay.
Most of the keys work...needs a little tune up but all in all it's fun and unique.
The kids have been fascinated with it...
no plug?
not electronic?
NOPE.
They are amazed, bewildered.
You actually have to work and punch the keys HARD to form words.
No easy breezy computer with an ink cartridge.
No spell check.
No delete key.
No editing.
Planning to have fun with this for some mixed media pieces and love notes to dear ones.
What do you think?
It's cute, right?
xoxo,
Caroline

  1. i love it!! it reminds me of a story... one year, all i wanted for christmas was a vintage typewriter. on christmas morning, my brother gave me a wrapped gift that was obviously a cd. disappointed as i was, i opened it and inside was a typed card that read "you got punk'd! your typewriter is waiting upstairs".

  2. How is the ribbon holding up? I hope there is a way to keep these babies alive and I love the pink colour (..had a blue smith corona given to me as a child and really wish I had looked after it) but I agree, this has loads of potential! There is something special for me too about "real" type.
