Paint sample art project!

This was a really fun kid's craft project!
I asked the nice folks in the Home Depot paint department
if I could take a good many of the Behr paint samples for a children's art project.
They said..."Certainly... and great idea!" after I told them what I planned to do.
I had the thought of using these specific paint chips to make flowers somehow with the kids.
Because of the shape of the samples....they make perfect petals!
Here's what you'll need:
liquid glue and/or glue sticks
hot glue and glue gun
decorative card stock paper
lollipop sticks or small wooden dowels
Behr petal shaped paint samples
We used the hot glue only to make the stem adhere to the card stock.
They used glue sticks and liquid glue for the rest.
The girls had friends over when we did this
and it was funny to see them plan the patterns so meticulously.
this is how they turned out...
It might work to not use the card stock and just use hot glue and make a double sided flower and stem.
This way, you'd hot glue two petals back to back.
Not sure if this would work but think it would.
If you try it this way, let us know if it worked, won't you?
Fun summer craft and a great way to chill after a full day of tennis and swim camp!

Try it with sweet ones at your house and let me know how it goes!
xoxo,
Caroline
