Back from Atlanta!
Just love this snapshot I captured from my hotel window.
The lights of the city that evening were as bright as the energy I felt
as I walked the show and met with amazing manufacturers.
As always it was fun to see my current products I have designed
on shelves like these for Wellspring.
You can actually shop for these from your home computer here
and you can find them in stores nationwide.
Walked through the Demdaco showroom and met many of the wonderful folks
who work for the company. It was exciting to talk about my line launching in January.
This is a picture of my friend Megan Halsey's new line for Demdaco.
Spent some time in the Options showroom seeing my coaster designs for Coasterstone.
They have asked me to do a coaster signing (give away) in January so that is in the works and it should be a fun event with free coasters and food and drink.
Clever that they used my monogrammed coasters to spell out the name of the showroom.
You can always buy my coaster designs HERE and
Always wonderful to visit with the Tervis folks and see my Love the Earth tumbler
which you can purchase HERE.
More designs in the works for them so stay tuned.
One of my favorite showrooms bursting with color and design...Peking Handicraft, Inc.
sooooo much ground to cover and this is just one of three buildings.
quick but good visit with friend Kim Gordon who is a sales rep for Lifeguard Press.
busy, busy selling brands like Lilly Pulitzer, Jonathan Adler and Dylan's Candy Bar.
I met the sweet Heidi because a mutual friend wanted us to meet.
Our friend thought we look alike and have similar personalities and boy did we hit it off!
Wonderful girl and works for this amazing company called Grace Direct.
I was completely blown away to learn about the wonderful ways this company blesses others.

It was from HERE.
Really blown away at how God blessed this trip.
Trying to wrap my head around the opportunities which have been presented to me.

I cannot thank the very nice Amanda Murphy enough for mentioning me over on her blog.
I think all her sweet readers came over for a visit and commented for this give away.

I am most grateful for your kind comments and loved reading every single one of the ways you have used your hands to create beautiful things.
Blessings to each and every single one of you!
I have become a new subscriber and look forward to your posting. The best thing I ever made with my hands was a two piece evening gown that I knit out of metallic gold and silver yarn. It had a circular skirt and the top was made in a diamond pattern with gold beads at the intersections. It was just beautiful.
Anne...
Love your new fabric lines! Cute pincushion jars! I always enjoyed crafts. I remember one particular Christmas when I was about 11 years old. I'd asked for craft kits, and my mom found several kinds. My gifts included embroidery kits, decoupage, and a string art project. My favorite project, even to this day, is the string art sailboat kit. The kit contained a wooden base for the sailboat's hull, a backing board, pattern for placement of all the tiny nails, and the string. It's my favorite because my dad helped me place all the nails straight and even. I wound the string to create the sails. I gave the finished project to my dad, and he was so proud of it. It always hung in his den. After he died, I brought the string art sailboat to my house and hung it on my wall. It reminds me of my dad and the fun we had working on the project together.

#2 Something I made
The most important and rewarding project I've ever undertaken was my first quilt and that was 10 years ago, this coming December. I made it for my 1st grandchild and at the time we didn't know the sex. So the quilt was neutral both the fabric and pattern were Debbie Mumm. Blues, greens, and yellows...wtih moons and stars. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I had never made a quilt let alone the fact that I decided to handquilt and hopefully it would last and become a true heirloom. It took me 4 months to handquilt and each and every stitch was filled with so much love and as I took each stitch I put thoughts of love and prayers for a healthy happy baby. Dreams for the child's future, prayers for the parents to keep their faith strong and that God would help them with all the challenges of parenthood. That baby, my 1st granchild turned out to be a boy, Andrew. He just turned 9 a couple of months ago and he still has his quilt. I tell him that whenever he needs a hug from Nana (we live in another state), just wrap the quilt around him and he'll feel all my love. As a result he has named it the Love Quilt. What a precious boy he is. Gosh maybe I've gone on and on...but I wanted to share how important that project was to me and now also to my grandson.
Thank you for the opportunity win one of those adorable pincushions.
