I am pretty sure Holly is a South Carolina native like moi.

I believe she grew up in Charleston but now she lives with her husband in Hannover,  Germany. 

Here's a bit about Holly and her talents 

In addition to decor8, Holly is a weekly columnist at Real Simple online and she maintains a more personal second blog, Haus Maus, where she documents her life as an American expat.
