the paper runway...

Oh I cannot even tell you how much talent is under that roof...
the roof of the Jacob Javits Center during the Surtex and National Stationery Show.
It's is crazy amazing....yes, that's really my description for it.
Wait until you see these....
some brilliant person decided to make a runway of sorts between the two shows.
It was a hallway with about 20 mannequins, maybe 10 on each side.
Stationery and gift wrap manufacturers took part in creating these unique beauties.
Oh no, these were not just any mannequins.
All of their clothing was made from paper...stationery and gift wrap.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh.........
I was so camera happy I could hardly contain myself!
yes, the leash and the dog are all made of paper
these roses were so amazing...
and there was even more...
this was created in painstaking detail...
Victorian wow...
and The Gift Wrap Company created this modern wow
using one of Kate's gift wrap patterns she designed for them.
and then around the corner was this stylish summer gal.
I wonder if everyone found out I was bringing along Gloria...
and they wanted to join in the fun.
Yep, I bet that's what they did.
And can you believe that a sweet DESIGNING FOR THE SOUL blog reader,
Karen who lives in Utah shipped me a beautiful apron she made just for Gloria?
THANK YOU KAREN!
Go visit her Etsy shop HERE!
When my fabrics are ready for Robert Kaufman she may have a few aprons in those patterns!
Gloria is in route right now back to the studio courtesy of Fed Ex
but when she arrives, I may let her borrow it.
and then The Gift Wrap Company's side booth display was stunning!

yep, all made from their gift wrap and paper products!
and then I spotted this cool display...an entire wall of paper rosettes.
So beautiful....truly a feast for the eyes!
I have so much more to share, stay tuned!
I hope you'll be inspired too.
xoxo
