I'm back.
I'm home safely.
I'm thankful beyond words.
Thankful for amazing opportunities which lie ahead.
Thankful for an awesome husband and my wonderful parents who cared for our children
so I could be away and continue to follow this passion.
I met the most amazing people and visited with old friends and new.
We had so many adventures in New York City
and I can't wait to share them all with you.
But I am tired, so this will be a quick peek into the 8x10 area
where I worked and played for the last several days.
It didn't start out this pretty I can assure you.
See....
It's hard to believe how many hours it takes to make this 8x10 beautiful.
It's a messy process too.
Slowly, but surely it all comes together.
After sketching and planning it all for months.
and with help from friends who sew...
It was finally ready.
I even brought along a photo board with pictures I have taken which inspire me.
It was so nice to have pictures of my family right there because so many people asked about the name
and the reasons for what inspires the collections and color palettes.
This certainly made that easy to share some of those reasons.
I was swarmed with hugs and kisses when I returned, just the way I like it
and even had a few love notes delivered to me upon my return.
(Had been telling them about all of the tall buildings there as you can see...)
Thank you for all of the nice e-mails and messages asking how it all went.
I am quite behind, but please know how very thankful for your support and faithful following.
The posts to follow will be spotlighting other talented designer friends,
my Surtex adventures, NYC architecture and sightings, and more!
It may take a while to cover it all.
STAY TUNED!
It's good to be back...
Would loooooove to hear from you!
missed ya!
xoxo
Caroline
