What to do with all of your Christmas cards...

Wondering what to do with all of your Christmas cards you received?
A sweet friend shared this with me several years ago
and we've been implementing her idea ever since.
When we first get ours in the mail we tape them to the cabinet walls of our kitchen.
This is just one of the cabinet walls.

We're receive over 300 now so we've run out of wall space.
We take the tape off after Christmas and pile them in a bowl.
At dinner (when we eat together as a family) we each randomly select a card
and we talk about the family and pray for them by name.
It's a great way to remember our sweet friends and the families
we care so much about throughout the entire year.
I chose to use this beautiful oval Blessings bowl my sweet in-laws gave me!
Blessings in the center----love it!
And these cute ceramic circles personalized with my 4 blessings' names
and they can be removed for washing the platter. Clever!

How do you display your cards in December
and then what do you do with them afterwards?
You're doing a great job commenting...let us know your clever ideas!
xoxo,
Caroline

  2. My intention for years (which I hope to do this month) is to cut out the photo's from the Christmas cards and start a friends & family collage on our kitchen wall. For years now we put all the cards back in our Christmas boxes so when we open them up the next year we see how much everyone has changed.

    Love your idea Caroline!

  4. We do the same thing! We tried years ago to pray for each family when we received their card but you can imagine how hectic that was before Christmas...it's a nice way to start the new year. The kids love to take turns praying for their friends!
