Are you ready
for some Christmas deliciousness?
I actually made this up with my sister over the phone in the grocery store last week.
I wanted something unique, pretty and delicious.
Picky, right?
It's chocolate mouse in baked wantons, topped with a raspberry
and dusted with what my kids call "sweet snow" (powdered sugar.)
I think they might work better in the small Athens pastry shells
so I will make them that way for our Christmas Eve feast.
If you'd like to try these, here's how I made them:
Spray muffin pan with Pam then place a wonton in each spot.
Bake at 375 degrees for 4-5 min. until light brown. Remove from oven and let cool.
In a medium sized bowl melt 8 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips,
then add 1 egg, 1 T vanilla, and 1 cup heavy cream.
Blend with mixer until fluffy and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Use a melon ball scoop to fill wontons with chocolate mouse.
Add a fresh raspberry to the top of each and dust lightly with powdered sugar.
Enjoy!
Have you seen THESE darling snowmen?
