40 and Fortunate

We''ll it's here....the big 40...December 9th.

I can't believe it and I really feel like my parents should be celebrated on this day rather than me.

I am here largely because of their love.

I am 40 and FORTUNATE because

I have a wonderful family, amazing friends, a warm home, a beautiful community, 

a faith-filled church, and safe & fabulous neighborhood.

I love the Lord and I love life. 

I love my job as a mother and I love my job as an artist. 

I am healthy enough to do loads and loads of laundry even though I often whine about it.

I am healthy and can run and jump and play with my kids.

I am more in love with my husband today than the day we married.

My children make me laugh and cry.

They allow me to notice the details of His goodness when otherwise I would be too busy to see them.

Not lucky, but fortunate.

Blessed.
