Sweet Elizabeth...

Our very dear friend Elizabeth passed away this morning.
She was an amazing mother, wife and friend to many.
She battled for so long and has been a walking miracle for the last five years.
She had a successful double lung and heart transplant surgery in 2007
and overcame extremely painful hurdles which amazed all of us.
She did this with amazing grace, strength, determination and immense faith.
Her smile was contagious and joy radiated from her as she entered a room.
Her amazing husband, Mark, is a rock.
His faith is as strong as a rock.
He has been a devoted husband and father on this long, long journey.
I am confident he did this only because his source of strength comes from his faith in God.
Her precious children Mary Scott (now 15) and Robert (now 13)
have endured much and have loved her each step of the way.
Mary Scott recently chose the following verse as her Homecoming Court verse:
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Psalm 23:4.

I ask for your prayers for the McLean family this day and in the weeks ahead if you don't mind.
They will need them and
I know they would be most grateful.
xoxo,
C

  1. I am crying and didn't even know Elizabeth. How sad for you and her dear family. She was so beautiful and what a battle she went through. It's stories like this that make you feel BLESSED for each day you have on this Earth. Make each day count. Healthy or not, put laundry aside some days to be with your friends and family, it can wait. I have learned this the hard way, as you know, recently going through a trying divorce with young children. Each day is precious. I love you sweet Caroline and will include the McLean family in our prayers this evening. xo

  2. Thank you sweet Ali! She was an angel on earth to so many! Yes, each day is precious and may this remind of how important that is to remember.
You were so kind to comment.
