Craft Monday!

After school today we had the most fun creating colorful, abstract trees.
Aren't they pretty?
The kids used pencils to draw trees with branches running off the edges of the paper.
We just used thick, white card stock.

They used red and black crayons to fill in the trunk and branches...
coloring as hard as they could and tried to fill all the white spaces.
Then when they filled in the white spaces with watercolor,
if the paint touched the tree branches (wax crayon) it would repel...
so there was a mini science lesson in there too.

Our sweet friend Ava squeezed one in too before tennis lessons
and she did a great job!
William made one as well but I couldn't catch him with the camera.
I want to do THIS lesson with them soon!
and the Fall Leaf Butterflies craft is so pretty too!
And I think this would be fun to try!

Happy Fall ya'll!
xoxo,
C

  1. You amaze me! How do you find the time to do everything that you do and keep a beautiful home and look so calm? My house would be a wreck and I would be frazzled. The fall crafts are so wonderful. I might have to have a messy home for a few days and get out the paints, pencils and crayons with my kids! This is the perfect time to show the kids God's artistic and colorful landscape outside while making some fun fall crafts inside!
You are awesome Caroline!!! Such an inspiration to so many!!!
    Blessings! S
