Art for the marketplace!

I had no idea how much art I had painted and created until we started organizing icons and creating collections. Some just came together, but many were planned keeping consumer products in mind. Part of the fun is to create art which can make a blank canvas become an actual product...and one that lots of folks want to purchase. Knowing the consumer is important too, and I find myself in conversations about who the consumer will be, and how to target more than one age or type of consumer.
It's all quite interesting...you can see it in any store, especially the grocery store. Children's cereals, and always the licensed brands are down on the lower isles so our kids can scream, "Mommy, please buy me the Froot Loops and the Barbie Marshmallow Crunch, etc!" The most expensive wines are at adult eye level. These folks are smart about placement. I want to be smart about design too.
Here are some more of the enlarged designs going on the booth walls at Surtex.
I had an idea for a little promotional giveaway during the show.
I think it's clever but you can let me know what you think.
I wanted something small and easy to take in addition to my business card
and wanted to incorporate my birds, summer approaching and my love of flowers...
I ordered some wildflower seeds. They're difficult to find in bulk. Probably should have ordered bird seed and gone with the whole bird theme.
Placed some in these 3x4 zip locks and added stickers to the front that say this:
Let’s plant seeds together
while cultivating
a great partnership
to make beautiful
and uplifting products
for today’s marketplace!
(wildflower seeds enclosed…enjoy!)

in addition to my logo and contact information just below that.
And they'll be displayed in this which will sit on top of my table.
May not look like many but there are 200 packs in there!
I'll be sure and get some booth photos to share when I return.
Not sure how much more you'll hear from me before I leave but hang tight...
I hope to have lots to share when I return home.
xoxo,
C
