Speaking of...

Speaking of antiques, vintage goodies and thrift finds,
the girls and I headed out several weeks ago
to one of my favorite local spots called
We had a blast as you can tell.
Sorry for the poor quality photos...
just had the phone with me.
Check out this hilarious shot of Sarah Grace
under the old fashioned hair dryer.
Charlotte jumped under it too...
We all giggled so loudly
I thought we were going to be asked to leave.
And can you see all the old retro decor in the background.
Actually, the artist and "obsessed with color girl" in me
loved most of it.
We looked through all the vintage jewelry and purses.
They thought it was all sooooo "fancy!"
A while back I found a dress there in this great fabric
Want to have it made into pillows I think.
And I found THESE funky pants for my 70s Halloween outfit.
And I had to thumb through the coats.
I have a "thing" for vintage coats.
A good dry cleaning and I have NO problem
owning and enjoying an old coat,
especially if it has a great style.
This is my red one...3/4 sleeves with fur collar.
Love wearing it all fall and winter, especially at Christmas.
This is my vintage lamb's wool coat with flared sleeves.
Looks great with a dress, pants or jeans.
Vintage lined wool with great pockets and angled short sleeves.
Really love wearing this with jeans but looks great with a dress or pants too.
One of my favorite things about old coats are the unique buttons.
I have more but I won't bore you.
My point is flea market/antique shopping is fun
and you can find neat things for great prices.
Front left...bought two of these wicker flower stands.
Both are re-painted and in the studio.
Sarah Grace is holding my new letter/bill holder
which I spray painted apple green
and it's also hanging on the wall near in my studio.
Green shelf....haven't found a spot for that yet,
but for $4 it was too cute not to get it!
Tell me about your best flea market/thrift finds!
Have a great day!
xoxo,
Caroline

  1. OK, this post is a BIG fave with me!!! I had no idea you were a Junk Queen, too. My sis got me a pair of cool '20s suitcases at an estate sale for $10 and an identical pair showed up in last month's Country Living with a $2000 price tag! Think that's my all time best, even though it came from her. Does Ebay count? I got a full length 1960's mink for $60 including postage. And there always has to be the One That Got Away... a gorgeous butter yellow leather sofa that was only $150 but Yours Truly had to hesitate while calling Mr. Wonderful and someone else took it. Sigh. I love your black coats best... How stylish you are. And now I have the itch to go to Value Village (with my $3 off coupon, of course!)
