Chalk Talk!
So we finally finished the high traffic hall area which leads from the back patio and studio to the freshly painted kitchen. The black chalkboard paint really turned out quite well. After allowing it to cure for several days, we've all had fun writing and drawing on it. Even friends who have stopped by and grandparents have taken part!
We've even got a Grocery Store Wish List. I woke one morning to find that the boys had added things I almost never buy (Pop Tarts, Lunchables, and chocolate ice cream. Healthy requests, hu?
Finally hung our framed Heart For Haiti print too on another wall and just below that William helped write our first Scripture for the Week.
This is as much for me as it is for them. I think it will be a nice way for our entire family to memorize a new scripture each week and let's face it, it's a great handwriting drill too. Plus, it will be great to read each day as we head out the door into the "busy" and the "hurry" of the world.
If you've got a spot in your house for chalkboard paint, I highly recommend it. It's fun for the kids and the grown ups and no one gets in trouble for drawing on the wall!
Thanks for all the sweet e-mails and messages regarding Sarah Grace's surgery! She is the sweetest patient EVER and we've enjoyed some one on one time in the studio.
Have a wonderful start to your week!
Blessings,
C
