Started off the morning as the Mystery Reader in William's class today. I wanted to bottle his smile when he saw me walk in the door. Priceless. I can't wait to go back and do it again. Wonderful reminders of my years as a teacher.
Look at this cool boat drawing based on a book they read in class. Isn't that cool? I swear this kid needs to work for Lego.Ended the day with my sweet mom and her friend (my guidance counselor from high school believe it or not-love her!) We went to see the Christmas Symphony uptown Charlotte at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. It was WONDERFUL! So much talent in that place and certainly put me in the Christmas Spirit. We plan to have some family decorating Friday evening...can't wait! Going to see Grease Sunday evening and then The Nutcracker next Saturday. Love the performing arts!
Backtracking a bit...Before the event, we shared some yumminess at Capital Grille; always delicious! We also popped across the street to TWELVE which is an event run by Charlotte Center City Partners. It is a 12 day Christmas shopping event held in an empty restaurant. Lots of vendors and neat gifts! Even a guy who will make a wreath while you wait. You choose the ribbon, pine cones, berries...whatever you'd like on it. I will not be there but some MB products are there. They have advertised around Charlotte and hopefully it will be a well attended event. Did you know the foot traffic on that street (Tryon and 6th) is approximately 27,000 a day? Wow!
Other random news:
Mark your calendar if you are in the Charlotte area. It's our last Merry Market and Multiple Blessings' FINAL, FINAL event. After this all remaining stock is going to a certain place, which I will share later...so this is it folks.
For those of you who missed our first Merry Market, you are in for a treat and another chance to find some fabulous finds all in one gorgeous place. And for those who made it to our former location, you know how great it was and you'll want to come back because we're in a new beautiful home in Carmel Park and it will be filled like your own private shopping mall!
