My favorite birthday party was when I turned 8 or 9 and my mom drove me and my girlfriends to Charlotte (the big city compared to my hometown Rock Hill) for ice cream sundies. I cannot even remember the name of the old fashioned soda shop but I do remember the laughter and squeals of a bunch of young girls and my first pair of jelly shoes! And my favorite towel by caroline is either the birds (rejoice) or poppies (amazing grace).
